Ian Dewar - Search Engines

Ian Dewar has thirty years experience in the direct marketing. In this time he has managed the strategic direction and the implementation and development of customer databases, right through to the tactics and execution of direct mail, off-the-page advertising and e commerce campaigns. Ian has been a board director of Ogilvy & Mather Direct and chairman of his own agency, Dewar Coyle MacLean, which he sold to Grey Advertising. He has managed the development of a pan-European database for Mars/Pedigree Petfoods, plus domestic ones for Eurostar. In 2002 he founded Carling Dewar Allen, a consultancy specialising in the application of automated intelligent communications, developed the business in the UK and Scandinavia and sold his shareholding in 2004. In response to the demand of his skills as a copywriter for the web and his growing involvement in SEO, he started The Ian Dewar Partnership in 2006. In 2004 he was keynote speaker at Swedish Direct Marketing Day. In 2005 & 2006 he chaired the Dubai Direct Marketing Conference. In 2007 he will chair the Marketing Strategy Forum, again in Dubai. Ian is a founder member and a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing.
